The tools you will need are Tape measure (metal ones are best), pen and paper. Take all your measurements in millimetres (mm).

Measuring for a Recess Fit Vision Blind
A Recess Fit is when the blinds are required to fit inside the window recess / inside the window frame.

1Measuring the width and drop
Measure the top width and drop and do not make any deductions. Our factory will deduct a 2mm on the total width allowing for correct and smooth operation.

2Check
Check that your recess is deep enough to fit the blind into, also bearing in mind any obstructions such as window handles or tiles and take their position into account if necessary, to ensure a perfect fit.
Minimum depth required for a Recess Fit Vision Blind is 30mm-70mm, may mean that the blinds and bracket will sit outside the window recess.

3Important Information
- The actual fabric width will be APPROXIMATELY 32mm LESS than the width you supplied.
- The GAP at each side is not the same. The gap at the control side is slightly wider than the other side.
- Do NOT order using fabric width.

Measuring for a Face Fit Vision Blind
A Face Fit is when the blinds are required to hang outside the window recess / outside the window frame.
1Measuring the width and drop
Measure the exact width and drop of where you'd like your blind to be. We recommend the blind overlaps the window by at least 50mm to a 100mm on each edge depending on the space you have. If you have an architrave we recommend measuring from outside of architrave to outside of architrave.

2Check
Check for any obstructions such as window handles or tiles and take their position into account if necessary, to ensure a perfect fit.
3Imporant Information
- The finish blind will be made EXACTLY to the width you supplied.
- The actual fabric width will be APPROXIMATELY 32mm LESS than the width you supplied.

We strive to deliver your new blinds to you in the shortest amount of time possible. These are the estimated manufacturing and delivery timeframes for our products:
All orders are delivered by road freight. Once your order is confirmed, we will send you an online tracking code for internet tracking.
Shipping is currently a fixed price of $199. We offer free shipping on all orders over $199 excluding Curtains and Outdoor Blinds, and some exceptions.
Once you have placed an order, you can see the status of this in real-time using our online order tracking tool. Simply enter your email address and order number.
We will do everything we can to help you with any changes to your order. We send your order directly to the manufacturer to ensure prompt production and delivery of your blinds. Most orders may be changed within the first 24 hours for no additional fee. Production of orders may be implemented immediately on confirmation of order therefore any change to an order under production may incur a fee. Absolutely no changes will be processed after 24 hours from confirmation of order. Orders may be cancelled within the first 24 hours for a minimum 10% transaction fee. All changes and cancellations must be done via email sales@halfpriceblinds.com.au.

As Half Price Blinds sell custom made window treatments, manufactured with extreme care, to the specifications provided by our customers, orders are non returnable. To avoid finding yourself with blinds that don’t fit, please use the measuring instructions on this website and order one blind or shade as a first sample ("the first sample option"). That is the best means of ensuring that you have measured your area correctly.
We don’t offer a blinds repair service at this time.
Should your order be damaged when it arrives at your door, you may be covered for replacement under warranty. Please note the damage upon delivery and contact us immediately.
